Baby and You

We will play and move together using developmental movement patterns and sensory experiences. Throughout the class, we will sing, spin, jump, skip, laugh, and dance together. While the focus of the class is movement, there will always be an opportunity for parents to discuss and share parenting strategies with each other. 

Infant Massage

Parents come learn to massage their babies in a welcoming and supportive class! Massage is best for newborn babies up to crawling, however, all babies up to one year old are welcome. Parents participating will receive complimentary handouts of strokes learned, a free little bottle of massage oil. Ms. Carolyn is certified through the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).

Bustin’ Loose With Mother Goose

The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program® is a group experience for parents and their babies and young children which focuses on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, music, movement and stories together. Parents gain skills and confidence in these areas with their child.

Bonding with Baby!

During this class we will sing and move with our little ones. We will be using some special

movements to help with Brain development, teaching some neat infant massage techniques and doing some singing to enhance our special bond with babies while stimulating their language/communication skills.

Registration Fee: $50 per family

Ballet

• Beige/skin tone Ballet slippers

• Girls: MDC teal leotard, tights matching dancer’s skin tone, no visible underwear, teal ballet skirt is optional

• Boys/Non-Binary: MDC teal t-shirt, and black shorts (above the knee)

• Hair must be pulled back into a ballet bun. Short hair must be pinned out of the face.

Tap

• Beige/skin tap shoes

How leveling works:

A dancer's level will be determined using the following criteria:

• Age: age will be considered during placement in order to follow competition guidelines.

• Skill requirements: an ever-changing list of skills that must be correctly and consistently executed before advancement to the next level.

• Behavior: a dancer's attitude, willingness to learn, attendance, and accountability will be considered when being assessed.

*Placements may shift during the first two weeks of classes if we determine your dancer is better suited to a different level.

  For example: Suzy wants to compete in Jazz. She must enroll in Jazz Technique in addition to Jazz Choreography.

Year-end Recital

Registration fee, class fees, costume fees, competition fees, rehearsal fee.

Registration Fee: $50 per family

Costume Fee: between $90-$160 per class

Stage Rehearsal Fee: $30

Extra Work Fees: $30 Admin Fee, Solo $250 -$400, Duet $150 per dancer, Trio $125 per dancer. Fees vary depending on teacher rates.

• All: Dress in layers for floor work (long pants/long sleeve shirt).

• Hair must be pulled back out of face, but does not need to be in a bun.

Hip Hop

• Non-marking, clean indoor sneakers

• Comfortable, loose clothing (do not wear your ballet class wear). Clothing must not affect the safety of themselves or others.

• Hair can be worn down but must have an elastic available to put up if needed.

At Maddox Dance Company, “Extra Work” refers to solos, duets, trios, and sometimes small groups. All of which are an exciting opportunity for dancers to grow artistically and technically in a more personalized setting.
