Youth Dance Theatre Program
For creative kids.
An activity for 6-16 year olds that crave working creatively, coming up with new ideas and dancing in their own style.
Dance Theatre.
The Classes.
In the Creative Kids Dance Theatre program for ages 6 -16, we will explore and discover new ways to move in order to portray a variety of concepts, emotions, and narratives. Children will learn dance skills and technique as well as gain improvisation, decision-making skills, and learn about the creative process.
The Performance.
We’ll work toward a final performance piece. The performance will either be an in person showing or a recording of our work. We will be patient and work with whatever regulations we are faced with.
The Feeling.
This program is designed to highlight and celebrate our differences as individuals. It’s meant to cultivate creative thought and encourage team work.
Our Experience.
We loved dance classes growing up. They gave us a great sense of confidence and work ethic. After obtaining our bachelor of arts in dance from the University of Calgary, our methods and approach to dance has shifted. We now have a passion for creating a space for students to learn in a collaborative and creative environment while still prioritizing technique and skill development. .

“Maddox Dance Company, you’re the best! My girls have absolutely loved attending your classes. Starting with no experience in creative dance they felt comfortable with your direction from the start. ”
